UAC Boss Urges Federal Government to Improve Good Business Atmosphere


THE group Managing Director of UAC, Nigeria plc and acting chairman CAP Plc, Mr. Larry Ettah has appealed to the Federal Government to ensure a level playing field in all sectors of the country’s economy in line with the local content policy to achieve steady economic growth in the country.

Ettah who disclosed this in Lagos recently during the unveiling of Dulux 2008 colour of the year lamented that UAC at the moment spent more than 50 per cent of its earnings on power stressing that beyond the issue of budget, concrete steps should be taken by government to ensure that the decay in physical infrastructure is permanently addressed.

The UAC boss, however, said the company would continue to redefine its category as an innovative and substantially Nigerian company, which aspires to be a leading player in every market.

 
According to him, variety is the taste of life pointing out that there is nothing like permanent colour as far as Dulux is concerned.

Also speaking at the event, Managing Director CAP Plc, Mr. Stephen S. Mayaki explained that Dulux choice of  ‘Majestic yellow’ as its 2008 colour of the year was to reflect a colour that transcends national cultures coupled with the ability to communicate optimism, respect, radiance and well being as the real essence of life.


He noted that in pursuance of the pioneering role of Dulux in colour education CAP Plc spareheaded the science and arts of colour trends in Nigeria through the introduction the Dulux colour centres and Dulux colour of the year in 2005 which according to him has gone a long way in sustaining the color trend till date.
